Rufous Hummingbirds are often seen in mid-to-late summer in Southwestern Colorado as they migrate from their breeding grounds in Alaska to overwinter in Mexico - a distance of about 4,000 miles! They are bullies at the feeders we put out, defending the feeders from the more common Broad-tailed Hummingbirds. Their numbers are in decline, so I suppose we have to have some sympathy for them, even though they disrupt the normal feeding habits of other hummingbirds.
